Matte runs entirely in your browser. No files, text, images, or personal data you enter into any tool are ever transmitted to a server. Everything stays on your device.

The only exception is the Currency Converter, which fetches live exchange rates from the European Central Bank via the Frankfurter API. Only the currency pair and amount are sent in that request — no identifying information. Rates are cached locally for 12 hours.

Matte uses localStorage to remember your preferences (theme, favorites, recently used tools, per-tool settings). This data stays on your device and is never synced or shared.

There are no analytics, trackers, cookies, or ads. There are no accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.

Matte is a static web application. It can be installed as a Progressive Web App and used entirely offline after the first visit.
